Javier B. Suárez is a Bolivian film, theater, and television actor with an artistic career spanning more than three decades. Born in Cochabamba, he has participated in more than 30 theater and 50 audiovisual productions, including feature films, short films, TV series, and music videos. Noted for his versatility and emotional depth, Javier, who is also bilingual, has worked on international projects such as the feature films ‘Distancia’ (2024) and ‘The French Teacher’ (2019), in addition to appearing on the renowned Telemundo court show ‘Caso Cerrado’. His performance in the short film ‘Día de la Mesa’ (2016) earned him the Best Actor award at the 48 Hour Film Project and worldwide recognition at the Filmapalooza Global Awards (2017). In June 2024, his debut feature film as a lead, T.S. Meeks’ ‘Distancia’, won the Best New Director Award at the Brooklyn International Film Festival. The film has also been featured in the Official Selection at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival 2024 and nominated in 6 categories, including Javier’s as ‘Outstanding Actor in a Foreign Feature Film’ at the Edinburgh Film Festival International” (2025). Nowadays, Javier continues to bring authenticity and passion to every project he is involved with.
